June 22, 2017

San Diego, CA –  Asian Voices received a Telly Award and FilAm Humanitarian Award this year in recognition of its contribution to preserving and promoting the Asian and Pacific Islander culture and history in the US.

The award winning show premieres its third season today on Cox and Time Warner Cable networks. With an estimated viewership of over 7 million households in Southern California through recently launched YurView national cable network, Asian Voices is the only television show produced in English that features the Asian & Pacific (API) community and culture in the US. The third season will showcase all new stories about API culture, art, lifestyle, entertainment and people.

Executive Producer and host Cathlyn Choi says the format for Asian Voices has also been modified to present the stories in a more intimate and personal manner. “After reviewing our last 2 seasons featuring segment hosts, we have decided to eliminate that interview style in order to present the subjects and stories shared with our viewers in a more direct and intimate way.”

Asian Voices is scheduled to air Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6PM on Cox & Time Warner Channel 4 in San Diego. Please check local listings or visit the Asian Voices website at: for other cities including Orange County and LA.

A special free screening of the show and reception was hosted by Asian Culture and Media Alliance and the Producers at the Shozen Manpo BBQ in San Diego last Thursday, June 22 from 6PM-8PM.
